Scale and Perspective

When I was in elementary school, I read Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time.  I loved that book.  But the sequel, A Wind in the Door, ruled as my favorite for years and years.  My ten-year-old mind was blown by, among other things, the notions of scale and perspective in that book.  I've adored science fiction ever since.

This little bit of awesome would have gone along nicely.

  1. Emily read my copies of those books a couple of months ago and decided they're awesome. I obviously agree since I kept my copies around for all these years.

  2. I loved A Wrinkle In Time but I don't think I read A Wind In The Door until much later and I can't remember it at all.

The scale of the universe widget is very cool.

  3. As a computer geek, I thought it was really well executed.
